This is a robotics company built for the data center that is already running, not the one still being built. Facilities and operations teams at colocation and cloud sites face the same skilled-trade shortage construction crews do, and they spend scarce electrician and technician hours on repeatable physical work: inspection walks, hot-aisle and cold-aisle airflow checks, cable management upkeep, and rack reconfigurations needed as workloads and hardware change. The company builds mobile robots, trained on real facility operating data and a shared robot foundation model, that take over this recurring physical work inside a facility that is already energized and live.
The customer is the facilities and operations team running an existing site, not the general contractor building a new one. Servicing a live facility means working around energized racks and uptime SLAs, a harder integration problem than cabling an empty construction floor. Early use cases are thermal-fault detection that catches hot spots before they cause downtime, continuous cable management upkeep, and executing rack reconfigurations that would otherwise pull a certified technician off higher-value work.
The wedge is depth in a handful of facilities, not breadth across many construction sites. Once a robot has learned one live data center's layout and failure patterns, it gets more useful over time and harder to rip out, because switching means the operator loses months of site-specific operating history.
