This product is a voice AI agent that answers every inbound call for a trade business, qualifies the job, books the appointment or dispatches an emergency call, and writes the result directly into the business's existing field-service software instead of leaving it as a voicemail someone has to call back. It is built for small and mid-size trade businesses, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, that already run on a scheduling and dispatch platform but have no good way to cover the phone when the team is in the field.

The wedge is depth, not breadth: rather than being a generic AI receptionist that can handle any small business's calls, this product is trained specifically on trade terminology, pricing patterns, and emergency triage, and integrates directly into the field-service management systems these businesses already run on, so a booked call becomes a scheduled job without anyone re-entering it by hand.

MVP Scope

Launch with one trade vertical, HVAC or plumbing are the clearest starting points, and deep integration into one field-service platform, most likely ServiceTitan given its install base, rather than building a generic voice bot. Nail call handling for the five to ten most common call types in that trade, new service request, emergency, reschedule, quote follow-up, before expanding to a second vertical or platform.

First Customers

Find the first ten customers through trade association directories, local supply-distributor networks where contractors already compare notes on tools, and direct outreach to multi-location operators large enough to feel the cost of missed calls but too small to staff a full-time dispatcher. A free trial measured against the business's own missed-call and booked-job numbers over a month is the fastest way to prove the value directly.

Moat Sequence

Build vertical-specific call handling and scripts first, since that's what makes the product better than a generic receptionist from day one, then deepen the field-service platform integration so booked calls flow into scheduling without manual re-entry. Use the accumulated call data last, to refine intent recognition and triage accuracy across an expanding set of trades.

90-Day Timeline

Months 1 to 3: pilot with 5 to 10 contractors on one trade and one FSM integration, measuring missed-call reduction and booked-job lift directly against each business's prior numbers.
