Software companies have always been cheap to start because the only asset is code. The current wave of AI and robotics companies is different: they need GPU clusters, robot fleets, and data center capacity to operate at all, and those assets have depreciation curves, resale markets, and utilization risk that look nothing like the equipment traditional lenders already know how to finance. Most banks and equipment-finance firms either decline to underwrite this asset class or price it so conservatively that operators end up overpaying for debt or giving up more equity than the risk justifies.
This product is a lending and leasing platform purpose-built for physical AI infrastructure: it underwrites GPU clusters, robotics fleets, and data center buildouts using models trained specifically on how those assets actually depreciate, get resold, and get utilized, then offers leases, loans, or structured financing priced on that basis instead of a generic equipment-finance template. The customer is a mid-size AI infrastructure operator, neocloud provider, or robotics fleet business that needs to acquire physical assets but either gets rejected by conventional lenders or is forced into unfavorable terms set by the vendors selling the equipment.
The wedge is depth over breadth: build underwriting models for one asset class first, GPU clusters are the most liquid and best-documented starting point, where there is already a meaningful volume of transactions to learn pricing from, before expanding into robotics and data center debt once that engine is proven.
